Franklyn Financial Management held a stall at the Carnival on Saturday July 10th 2010 to support a local charity, Ruby’s Fund. The World Cup themed event proved very popular with young and old, who enjoyed the procession through the town, culminating in fundraising stalls, fairground rides, and entertainment in the town’s park. The FFM stall featured a football treasure hunt and guess the footballs in a jar, and we were then joined by Daisydoos, who provided professional balloon modelling and glitter tattoos.
The prize winners were Hannah Millican, who won the football treasure hunt, and Nina Lomas, who correctly guessed the number of candy footballs in a jar.
The total amount of money raised for Ruby’s Fund was £92.87, which will go towards building a local multi-sensory studio in Congleton. The studio will provide a safe and appropriate place for those with additional needs to explore and develop, providing a rich variety of learning experiences and leisure time.
